PHASE 1 – TDD FORMATION ELECTION
This phase has completed. We are now in Phase 2.

 

PHASE 2  TDD DIRECTOR ELECTION
The next step is the election of TDD directors.  Unlike Phase 1, this is an election that takes place at the polls.

October 7, 2017 – Voters within the TDD vote at a polling place for the director(s) of their choice. Be SmartKC supports Greg Allen, Linda Hart Tabory, Steve McCandless and Ted Derks. Click here to learn more about these candidates.

 

PHASE 3 – VOTING TO FUND THE TDD
The last phase of the process, after creating the district and electing directors, is to vote to fund the district.  Like Phase 1, this phase is conducted by mail.

November 3, 2017 – The court orders an election to be held by mail to secure the funding stream for the new TDD. Voters within the TDD may begin requesting ballots.

December 19, 2017 – Request for ballots to vote in the election to fund the new TDD are due. (7 Tuesdays after court order)

January 9, 2018 – Ballots for the funding election are mailed to people who requested them. (11 Tuesdays after court order)

February 20, 2018 – Ballots for the funding election are due. (6 Tuesdays after mailed)

March 2, 2018 – Court certifies the funding election results. (10 days after ballot deadline)
